SSIPL in process to setup new unit in Noida
SSIPL Retail Limited (“SSIPL”) was constituted in 1994 and set up its first footwear manufacturing plant at Kundli, Sonepat in 1995.SSIPL became the first authorised footwear manufacturer for Nike in India in 1996.
In the year 2003 SSIPL set-up its second footwear manufacturing unit at tax-holiday area of Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh; in the year 2005 the third footwear manufacturing unit was set-upat tax-holiday area of Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh; in the year 2009 the fourth footwear manufacturing unit was set-up in tax-holiday area of Selaqui, Uttarakhand and in the year 2010 the fifth manufacturing unit was set-up in tax-holiday area of Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. Currently, SSIPL has a total of five manufacturing facilities.
As per the industry sources SSIPL is in the process of setting up there new production unit in Noida Phase-II, Uttar Pradesh for cconsolidating there upper fabrication work in there new Unit. The unit primarily focused on fabrication of upper. The major production will inclued Reebok and Nike.
