Relaxo Footwear signs Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador for Flite

Footwear maker Relaxo Footwear today said it has roped in Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador for its Flite brand.

As part of a two year contract, Kaif will endorse the Flite brand that is mainly targetting young consumers.

Relaxo Footwear Executive Director Gaurav Dua said the Flite is being positioned as a brand symbolic to youth, comfort and elegance.
“And to carry this brand persona a step ahead, we could think of no one better than Katrina Kaif,” he said in a statement.
Katrina will feature in TV commercial endorsing the Flite footwear which would be aired soon, the company added.

As per the company’s website, the company manufactures over three lakh pairs of footwear per day at the nine manufacturing units in North India.

In 2011-12, its annual turnover stood at Rs 870 crore. its other brands include Sparx, Schoolmate, Elena, Casualz, Mary Jane and Boston.
