Feetz company

One company that we’ve really enjoyed covering is Feetz – and not just because they sent us comfortable 3D printed shoes to preview and to try for ourselves. Founded by entrepreneur and mathematician Lucy Beard in 2013, Feetz has followed a fast path to success thanks to their custom-fit, comfortable, durable 3D printed shoes. Locally made in San Diego from fully recycled and recyclable materials, Feetz shoes carry a stamp of social responsibility as well as comfort, and they clearly have no intention of abandoning that responsibility in the slightest.
Last month, Feetz and sales partner DSW launched a series of pop-up shops, beginning in New York City and then moving to San Francisco. The Feetz@DSW pop-up shop in San Francisco’s Union Square opened earlier this month, and tomorrow, November 11th, the company is marking Veterans’ Day with a special giveaway for veterans of the US military. The first 100 veterans to visit the shop during tomorrow’s operating hours of 10 AM to 9 PM will receive a free pair of custom-designed Feetz shoes.“As a company that proudly makes its sustainable footwear product in the USA, we would like to celebrate the US Veterans who so proudly serve our country,” says Beard. “Our Veterans are one of a kind citizens and they deserve a special gift that’s made just for them. We proudly thank them for their service.”
Styles for both men and women are available, and veterans must bring with them proof of military service, such as a military ID, as well as a mailing address for shipment. Turnaround time from in-store scanning to delivery is about four weeks. The Union Square pop-up store will be open to the public until November 13, and customers can come in at any time to have their feet scanned with Feetz’s proprietary SizeMe technology, which uses a mobile scanner to capture 5,000 data points and 22 dimensions for perfect customization. The military giveaway is first come, first served, and customers will have their choice of the company’s three style options, as well as several colors to customize the soles. While Feetz does not make footwear for medical or orthopedic needs, their technology ensures the comfort and support of a perfect custom fit.
The Feetz@DSW pop-up shop is located at 400 Post Street in San Francisco. While the Veterans’ Day giveaway is only available at that location, you can still order your own Feetz shoes through the company’s website. You can scan your feet at home with a free Feetz app, available for both iOS and Android. At this time, Feetz is only shipping to customers within the United States.
Feetz’s success has seen the company named as one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 100 Brilliant Companies of 2016, as well as earning a spot on Fast Company’s Most Creative People 2016 list. We have no doubt that they will continue to see their success grow and to give back to the community, country and planet.
