STEPPING OUT: After collaborating with Tabitha Simmons on shoes, Creatures of
the Wind’s Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters will
launch their own capsule footwear collection for spring at their show today.
According to the company, the vibe is “hippie huarache meets futuristic
sporty.”

“For our first season of in-house shoes, we wanted to make a clear statement
about who we are as a brand: a bit of fantasy, a bit of dissonance, an element
of sport and a lot of color,” Gabier said.
There are four looks in the lineup: a slide, a sandal, a loafer and a
high-heeled style. “We included materials from the ready-to-wear and referenced
the collection colors; there’s a graphic element, a textural element, with a
play on ideas of summer shoes,” added Peter.
